Access to Documents
Find out what council documents are available for access by the general public.
Council welcomes enquiries from the public in seeking access to documents and information and will provide access in accordance with the Local Government Act and the Freedom of Information Act.
Section 12 of the Local Government Act
Section 12 of the Local Government Act describes the Council documents that are available for public inspection, free of charge, at the Administration Centre, Bellingen during normal working hours. Copies of these documents may be purchased for the normal photocopying fee. All requests for the supply of information under Section 12 of the Local Government Act must be in writing.

Freedom of Information Act
This Act should be referred to when information that is requested cannot be supplied under Section 12 of the Local Government Act. Any request for information under this Act must use the FOI Application form.
