Coffs Coast Explorer Explores Waterfall Way and HinterlandLaunch of Coffs Coast Visitor Guide - The latest edition of the Coffs Coast Explorer visitor guide was launched recently, with businesses and tourism groups from Bellingen Shire celebrating our strong involvement in building Coffs Coast as Australia's premier travel destination. Bellingen Shire's importance as a key partner in Coffs Coast was acknowledged by Coffs Coast Ambassador and great Australian, actor Jack Thompson, who promotes and advocates for the area on his travels around the globe. The new Explorer guide, published by the Coffs Coast Tourism Industry Association, is full of lush and engaging images and stories about the range of experiences visitors can enjoy right across Coffs Coast. Dorrigo is showcased as the pinnacle of Coffs Coast's nature and conservation experiences, with rich information on the Gondwana Rainforests, World Heritage Areas and stunning landscapes. Bellingen gets strong coverage as the creative edge and cultural hub of Coffs Coast, discussing the many cafes, events and artists in the valley. Of course, the sensational coast and waterways are highlighted as must do activities for visitors and locals alike. The guide is made possible by the support of businesses on Coffs Coast, is well supported by tourism operators on the plateau, the valley and seaboard. "The Coffs Coast Explorer guide is a good example of what is possible when we work as a team to truly promote the diverse experiences which will encourage visitors to come here, explore widely and leave wanting to return to experience more," said Mayor Mark Troy. "The three Coffs Coast Councils and the local tourism industries are working more and more closely as we develop a formal partnership to grow tourism. Imagine what high profile and promotion we can achieve if we continue to build a strong relationship and involvement as partners in Coffs Coast," he said. Coffs Coast Explorer is distributed nationally and to key international markets, with 150,000 copies of this edition printed. A high-profile promotional campaign accompanies the launch of the guide, prompting potential visitors and those already here to visit the Coffs Coast website and visitor centres for a free copy, and encouraging them to stay longer, explore more and discover our green, gold and blue.
