NSW/ACT Regional Achievement & Community AwardsCR. MARK TROY ASKS LOCALS TO STAND UP AND BE COUNTED! Individuals, organisations and business networks in our community have the chance to be recognised through the NSW/ACT Regional Achievement & Community Awards. Cr Mark Troy, Mayor of Bellingen Shire Council said: “The program is about recognising our hardworking locals who are making a valuable contribution to the Bellingen Shire. These are the unsung heroes who do not go about looking for recognition but go about their work throughout our region with passion and commitment achieving for their families and our community”. Nominations are now open in six categories:
The Department of Lands Community of the Year Award Commonwealth Bank is again offering a share in a huge $30,000 AwardSaver accounts for the winners in the Regional Service, Environment & Landcare, the Community of the Year Award (with population over and under 15,000) and also the Crown Reserve Land Trust categories. Prime Television will recognise winners in the Business Enterprise and Events & Tourism categories with a Television Air Time Prize Package. All category winners also receive a magnificent hand crafted glass trophy. As an inspiring and passionate community, I am sure we have many worthy contenders in our area. If you would like to nominate an individual, business or community project, nomination forms are available from all sponsors, and from Bellingen Council’s Administration Office. The NSW and ACT Regional Achievement & Community Awards are proudly Presented by PRIME Television and the Commonwealth Bank. The Award Patrons are Integral Energy, Kleenheat Gas, the NSW Government through the Department of Lands and the Department of State & Regional Development.
