Bellingen Shire Visitor Information Centre Revives the Weary DriverAre you travelling this June long weekend? The Bellingen Shire Visitor Information Centre is doing its part this June long weekend to make sure visitors to Coffs Coast arrive safe and relaxed. The Centre is once again operating its Driver Reviver, offering travellers refreshing tea, coffee, biscuits and cool drinks, from Thursday 5th June through to Monday 9th June. The Visitor Centre and Driver Reviver are open 9am to 5pm every day. The Centre is located on the Pacific Highway just south of the Kalang River bridge, with spotless toilets, BBQ and picnic facilities, soft grassy parkland, and a deck overlooking the river. Of course, it is also offers excellent visitor information, delivered with the Centre’s usual friendly welcoming service. Centre Manager, Maureen Cruikshank, said “The Visitor Centre is renowned as a perfect spot to stop along the highway, have a break and refresh. Whether heading north or south, the Centre offers a range of services to keep drivers, passengers and kids fresh and ready for a well earned holiday.” “Driver Reviver has been operating at the Centre for many years, with many visitors including it in their travel plans, not just as a must-do refresher stop, but as the place to find out all they need to know to enjoy a magical experience in the area,” she said. “The Centre is run by a group of dedicated and inspirational volunteers,” said Bellingen Shire Tourism Manager, Brian Stokes.“The atmosphere in the Centre is friendly and very social, and visitors pick up on this as soon as they walk in. Welcoming and knowledgable, the staff do an exceptional job helping guests, promoting the area and looking after the Centre,” he said.
