Candidates Information Workshop – Bellingen – 2 July 2008
Are you thinking of running for local government in September?
Council will be facilitating a workshop on Wednesday 2 July 2008 in Council Chambers from 7pm – 9pm.
A key focus for Council is to encourage more women and Aboriginal people to stand for Council in the upcoming September elections.
The NSW Dept of Local Government publication “Becoming a Councillor” is a useful read for intending candidates. It can be accessed on the General Publications Link at www.dlg.nsw.gov.au
