Bellingen Shire library members have until 23 August to be in the running to win a Samsung Galaxy Tablet by using the Bellingen Library self-serve kiosk. The library undertook a campaign in May this year to encourage greater use of the facility with library staff on hand to provide instruction to users where required.
To participate in the draw, library members need to bring their library card and use the self-serve kiosk to borrow books at least once between Tuesday 30 May and Wednesday 23 August. The more you use the kiosk, the greater your chance of winning. Terms and Conditions apply.
“Use of the self-serve kiosk is easy, time saving and helpful for library staff. It allows staff to devote more time to user-education, improving the quality of service and organising more programs for the community” said the new Shire Librarian Surinder Kaur.
The prize will be drawn in the Bellingen Library on Friday 25 August at the end of Children’s Book Week.
Following the prize draw at 4.00pm, local illustrator Amanda Hazlett, will talk about her role as an illustrator and share some stories with the audience. This event is suitable for all age groups.
Further activities across the Dorrigo, Bellingen & Urunga Libraries to celebrate Children’s Book Week from 19 – 26 August are currently being finalised.
