About the Bridge
Richardsons Bridge is located on Darkwood Road, Thora. The current timber bridge is ageing and showing signs of deterioration. The new concrete bridge will improve the integrity of the structure and reduce recurrent maintenance costs into the future. The new bridge is being constructed adjacent to the existing timber bridge to ensure community access is maintained. The upgrade has seen the old single lane timber bridge replacement with a new 5 span, 60 m long concrete bridge.
