About the project

The Bellingen Shire Council was successful in its Recreational Fishing and Camping Facilities Program Grant Application. The boat ramps have been constructed in the 60ies, do therefore not comply with the current standards and the launching of boats during low tide is difficult and led to several accidents.

Project Scope

The project will see the construction and installation of temporary safety enhancements, such as bolt-on hi-vis sausage kerbs, delineater posts, wheel stoppers and signage.

Community Impacts

During construction, one of the two boat ramps will be closed to the public, the other will be left open. Communication via VMS boards and social media.
