Bulky goods collection commences 27th Febuary

Bellingen shire council would like to remind residents of the upcoming bulky goods collection scheduled for the end of February and into March. This service is available to those domestic properties within the shire who currently receive a kerbside collection service. The collection will start with Repton, Mylestom, northern Raleigh on 27th February and continues as follows.

A maximum of 3 cubic metres (approximately 1 box trailer load) of household materials will be collected from each premises. Please place scrap metal and white goods in a separate pile to other bulky waste. Lengths must not exceed 1.5 metres. Mattresses, building materials, hazardous waste, greenwaste and tyres will NOT be collected.
Acceptable items only should be placed at the kerb no sooner than the weekend before the date of the collection. Materials placed out after collection dates or in areas that do not receive the service will be treated as illegal dumping. Fines being issued by Councils Ranger under the POEO Act.
