Work Areas for Bellingen CBD Sewer Relining Works
Council will be undertaking sewer relining works in the Bellingen CBD from late January 2026. These works will affect traffic and access in Creek Lane, Church Street, Ford Street and Mary Street.
The project will extend the service life of existing sewerage infrastructure and improve the reliability and efficiency of Council’s sewer network.
The timing of these works has been planned in preparation for the Creek Lane Upgrade Project, scheduled to commence in mid-2026.
Community Impacts
Parts of Creek Lane will be closed intermittently with access to the Creek Lane Carpark maintained via a detour from either Church Street or Ford Street. Temporary closures of parking bays in the Creek Lane carpark will also be necessary during parts of these works.
Partial lane closures on Church Street and Mary Street may also occur and be managed under traffic control.
Timing of Works The works will commence on Wednesday 28 January and will occur intermittently until Late February (weather permitting).
