As part of their continued improvement to waste services, Bellingen Shire Council would like to remind all residents, including rural residents, that they are entitled to one bulky goods voucher each calendar year. This is in addition to the one annual pick up that residents on the kerbside collection are entitled to.
The voucher allows residents to self-haul and dispose of up to 300kg or 3 cubic metres of acceptable bulky household waste at the Raleigh Waste management Centre on Shortcut Road.
Acceptable items include white goods such as fridges or washing machines, small furniture, ironing boards, carpet and bulky toys etc.
It is important to note that items such as tyres, medical waste, asbestos and mattresses will not be accepted using the bulky goods voucher.
Residents can request a bulky goods voucher by calling the Coffs Coast Waste Services Hotline on 1800 265 495.
The 2019 bulky goods collections will take place in March and April 2019, to check your zone and date of your next bulky goods collection, use the MyBin app or visit www.coffscoastwaste.com.au
