With the easing of Covic-19 restrictions, Council is endeavouring to return to business as usual.
Accordingly, Public access presentations for the purpose of deputations, are now allowable with the following provisions to manage the number of people in Council Chambers at one time in accordance with the 4 sqm rule:
- Completed and approved Deputation Application
- Deputations to be made in person at the Council Chambers with one person only allowed in Chambers at a time while making their deputation (remaining presenters to remain outside Chambers until called)
- No public access gallery – please follow the meeting proceedings on the livestream video (link provided on Council’s website).
Please note, once Council receives and reviews future advice from the Office of Local Government NSW, plans will be put into place and announced to ensure these facilities can be re-opened safely and in accordance with the Public Health Order and Council thanks you in advance for your patience and understanding.
Filming and broadcasting of meetings (webcasting)
From Wednesday 28 May 2020, all Council Meetings will be filmed and broadcast (in line with NSW legislation) using our new webcasting service, Civic Clerk. This increases the transparency of Council decision making and allows access for members of our community who are unable to attend in person.
Viewers can go straight to an agenda item without having to watch the entire meeting webcast.
Note: If you attend one of these meetings in the public gallery, you may appear in the broadcast recording.
Publishing of agendas and minutes
Agendas will generally be available in the table below from Friday the week before the meeting.
Minutes are published as soon as practical after the meeting, along with the webcast recording. These will be available in the table below. Meeting minutes are unconfirmed until they are formally adopted at the next meeting of Council.

Please note: An Extraordinary Meeting of Council will be held at 9am on Wednesday 29 July 2020. The purpose fo the meeting is to consider Recovery Preparedness & Resilience Funding & Memorial Hall Final Concept Design and Financing strategy.
The Business Paper (Agenda) will be published on Council's website (here) by close of business on Friday prior to the meeting.

Meetings are held at the Council Chambers in the Bellingen Office Building, unless otherwise resolved by Council.

In Council Meetings, Councillors consider reports on a range of Council related matters.
Confidential items at all meetings are considered in a closed session, which excludes the press and public.
People wishing to address the councillors on matters before the meeting need to complete and return the following form before midday on the day preceding the Council Meeting.
