Bellingen Shire Council recently ran a photo competition for Shire residents as part of the Growth Management Strategy, ‘Homes for Our Future’ project.  The theme of the competition was ‘What do you love about your neighbourhood; What makes you smile in your street’?

Bellingen Council in partnership with Bellingen Chamber of Commerce secured to rights to host the 2018 ‘Ignite Symposium’ on 7 November 2018.  This business development and networking event was held in Bowraville last year and attracted around 400 delegates from across the region.

October is Mental Health Month - Join our Community BBQ

Bellingen Shire Council is partnering with a number of groups and services to host a free community barbecue in Dorrigo to mark Mental Health Month.  This event will take place at the Dangar Falls picnic area on Coramba Road in Dorrigo on Thursday 25 October 2018 between 11.00am and 2.00pm.

Bellingen Swim Centre Vandalised

The election of a new Deputy Mayor was on the agenda of the September Ordinary Council Meeting held on 26 September 2018.

General Manager, Liz Jeremy acted as Returning Officer as Cr Toni Wright-Turner was elected to the position for a one year period from 27 September 2018 to 25 September 2019.
