NOTICE OF WORKS: Road Closure of Coramba at Feeneys Bridge

Replacement of Bridge, Vegetation Management & Unsealed Road Grading

As part of the Timber Bridge Renewal and Rehabilitation Program, Council will be replacing Feeneys Bridge on Coramba Road, (18.3km from the Dorrigo Cenotaph) with a large culvert structure.  All current load limits will be removed following these works.

It will be necessary to fully close Coramba Road at this location for the duration of the works.  Roadside vegetation management and unsealed road grading works will be undertaken simultaneously to minimise any additional future disruptions.

Weather permitting, the following traffic conditions will apply:

  • Duration of work: Monday 8 October to Friday 26 October 2018
  • Full road closure for the duration of works between Feeneys Bridge (18.3kms) and Coopernook Creek Bridge (22.6km) – total length of 4.3km
  • An alternate route is available via Briggsvale Road through Cascade to Ulong.

Council respectfully requests motorists and residents to make alternate arrangements and plan their trips around this closure.

Two weeks prior to the works variable message boards will be in place at the intersections of Eastern Dorrigo/Lower Bobo Roads at Ulong and Coramba/Briggsvale Roads at Megan.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during the works and all enquiries should be directed to Customer & Business Support Officers on 6655 7300.
