Access and Inclusion Reference Group

Bellingen Shire Council is inviting community members to be part of the Access and Inclusion Reference Group—an advisory group providing feedback on accessibility, inclusion, and ageing well in our Shire.

About the Group

  • Advocates for older adults and people with disabilities
  • Advises Council on access, inclusion, and ageing issues
  • Supports the Ageing Well Strategy 2024-28 & Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2022-26
  • Shares community insights to identify challenges and opportunities

Who Can Join?

  • Older adults (55+)
  • People with lived experience of disability
  • Carers of older adults or people with disabilities
  • Community members passionate about access and inclusion

The group will operate informally, with flexible membership and no fixed term.

Meetings will be held as needed, with ongoing communication via email and phone.
