Our reporting process

Progress Reports

Quarterly reports provide regular updates on Council's progress towards its Operational Plan.

Annual Report and Financial Statements

The Annual Report provides information about Council's achievements in implementing the Delivery Program and the effectiveness of the principal activities undertaken in achieving the objectives in the Community Vision.

In accordance with the Local Government Act 1993, Council must prepare financial reports for each year. The financial reports must be prepared and audited within a period of 4 months after the end of that financial year. Council’s Audited Financial Statements are publicly available.

Quarterly Financial Reports

The Quarterly Budget Review Statement (QBRS) is the statutory mechanism by which councillors, council staff and the community are informed of the council’s financial performance and position for the reporting period, comparing actual year-to-date results with the adopted and revised budgets. It identifies material budget variations, explains contributing factors, and updates Council’s full-year financial projections.

The QBRS guidelines have been issued under section 203 (3) of the Local Government Regulations 2021. In August 2025, the NSW Office of Local Government released updated mandatory guidelines for councils on preparing the QBRS. These updates clarify reporting expectations, including the information to be presented, timing of reports, and the level of detail required.
