Council has adopted a new Code of Meeting Practice, which sets out the rules and procedures for how Council and eligible committee meetings are conducted. The Code supports a fair, orderly and transparent meeting process, including how meetings are convened, how business is considered, how participation is managed and how decisions are made and recorded.
The revised Bellingen Shire Council Code of Meeting Practice v4.1 incorporated all mandatory provisions of the new OLG Model Code, as well as local clauses that reflects Bellingen's meeting culture and governance practices.
