Invasive Plants
Invasive plants pose a serious threat to Bellingen Shire’s natural ecosystems, agriculture, and community landscapes. These species spread aggressively, displacing native vegetation, reducing biodiversity, and impacting water quality and land productivity. Bellingen Shire Council works in partnership with the community, landholders, and state agencies to identify, manage, and reduce the impact of invasive plants in line with the NSW Biosecurity Act.
