Thora Hall

Situated in the picturesque Thora Valley at the intersection of Waterfall Way and Darkwood Road this historic venue has strong ties to the local community.

The Thora Community Hall was built by local volunteers in 1938 on land donated to the community by Mr Bill Bros and served as the focal point for all community activities for the next 70 years. Over the last decade it has been fully refurbished to meet today's standards of excellence and has the following features.

A space that can cater for a sit-down event for up to 100 people.
A modern, fully equipped kitchen with crockery and cutlery available for hire.
An all-weather driveway capable of bus access and a flat wheelchair access for disabled guests.
Modern toilets with wheelchair access within the Hall building.
A wooden floor that is in excellent condition for dancing etc.
Suitable for Wedding Receptions, Parties, Discussion Groups, Meetings, Trivia Nights, Musical Events, Performances and so on.

The S355 committee that manages this venue is made up of local community members who give their time to support the ongoing care, use and management of this community space.

Funds raised through hire fees and events are reinvested into maintaining and improving the facility for the benefit of all.
