Two years on from shaping Our Plan for the Future, we want to know how we're tracking.
The 2026 Community Pulse Scorecard is an independent community survey that provides a check-in on community satisfaction with Council's services, facilities and priorities.
Your feedback will help us understand what is working well, where improvements are needed, and where Council should focus its efforts in the years ahead. The findings will also help inform service planning, resource allocation and future decision-making.
The program is being conducted by CATALYSE®, an independent research company, on behalf of Bellingen Shire Council. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Why are we asking?
In 2024, more than 1,600 community members participated in the MARKYT® Community Scorecard, helping shape Our Plan for the Future 2025-2035.
The Community Pulse Scorecard builds on that work by measuring how the community believes Council is progressing against those priorities.
The Scorecard provides an important "pulse check" that helps Council:
- understand community satisfaction with Council services and facilities
- measure progress since the previous Community Scorecard
- compare results with similar councils across Australia
- identify opportunities to improve services and better meet community needs
- support evidence-based planning and decision-making.
The results will help ensure Council continues to deliver services that reflect community priorities while making the best use of available resources.
Who can participate?
The Community Pulse Scorecard is open to everyone aged 14 years and over who lives, works, studies or regularly spends time in the Bellingen Shire.
We encourage as many people as possible to take part so the results reflect the diverse views of our community.
