Bellingen Shire Council is inviting community feedback on the draft Mylestom Foreshore Master Plan(PDF, 110MB). The plan has been developed through a collaborative process that included a community workshop, a public survey, and stakeholder meetings. The valuable insights, lived experience, and local knowledge shared by the community have directly shaped the key themes and recommendations in the draft plan. At the February 2025 Council Meeting, Council resolved to place the draft plan on public exhibition.

What is a Master Plan?

A Master Plan is a strategic document that sets out a long-term vision and implementation strategy to guide the future growth and development of an area.
The draft Mylestom Foreshore Master Plan will help shape the future look, feel, and function of the foreshore, addressing important considerations such as land use, public spaces, mobility and movement, sustainability, and heritage.

The plan will guide Bellingen Shire Council in the delivery of capital works and assist in securing grants and funding to support its implementation.
