At the March 2024 Council Meeting, Council adopted its draft Corporate Credit Card Policy to go out for community feedback.

Councils credit card Policy was updated following the release of new guidelines being issued by the Office of Local Government (OLG) on the Use and Management of Credit Cards. The guidelines are based on NSW Treasury’s credit card policy and guidelines for NSW state agencies (TPP21-02 Use and Management of NSW Government Purchasing Cards). The guidelines were developed in response to a performance audit of credit card usage at six local councils by the NSW Audit Office.

Following the release of the guidelines, a detailed review of Council's current Policy has been undertaken and changes made accordingly.

Anyone wishing to make comments on the Draft Corporate Credit Card Policy(PDF, 965KB) should do the following:

  • Submissions can also be emailed to: council@bellingen.nsw.gov.au.
  • Please attention your submission to the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Please place in the subject line of your email – Submission to Corporate Credit Card Policy
  • Hard copy submissions should be mailed or dropped off at Council's Admin Building 33 Hyde St, Bellingen

Submissions must be received by Friday 3 May 2024.
