At its Ordinary Meeting on 18 June 2025, Bellingen Shire Council resolved to place the Draft Pesticide Use Notification Plan (PUNP) on public exhibition.
The draft plan has been developed in accordance with the Pesticides Regulation 2017 and outlines how Council will notify the community about the use of pesticides in public places owned or controlled by Council.
It sets out the communication methods Council will use to inform residents about when and where pesticide applications are taking place, ensuring transparency and supporting community awareness.
We invite you to review the draft plan and share your feedback. Community input is a vital part of this process and will help shape the final version of the plan before it is presented to Council for adoption.
