The new three metre wide Shared Use Path will expand upon the existing footpath and Shared Use Path network in Urunga, improving connectivity and accessibility and supporting additional tourism opportunities for the shire. The proposed alignment will provide a continuous walking and cycling path between Giinagay Way in the South of Urunga, the Urunga Wetlands, Urunga CBD and to the existing Hungry Head Shared Use Path.
Construction is expected to commence on the project in the second half of 2026 and is scheduled for completion by mid-2027.
