Condolence books to honour the life of Her Majesty The Queen can be signed at Bellingen Shire Council’s three libraries in Bellingen, Dorrigo and Urunga from Tuesday 12 September.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passed away aged 96 on 8 September 2022.

Condolences will be sent to Buckingham Palace and archived by the Commonwealth and may be displayed at its national institutions, forming part of the lasting record of Australia’s close relationship with The Queen over many decades.

“Queen Elizabeth was loved and respected and represented all that was dignified and positive in the Royal Family.

“Her Majesty was a constant reminder of the true meaning of service, integrity and courage, and she was admired around the world.” Said Mayor Cr Steve Allan.

The books are available for signing during opening hours for the next 2 weeks.

Locations of libraries and their opening hours, noting that not all libraries are open every day, can be found here

Messages of condolences can also be made via an online condolence book, which is available at www.pmc.gov.au/her-majesty-the-queen
