The Bellingen Memorial Hall Open Day Tours
Published on 13 July 2023
Council is excited to announce that the extensive refurbishment of the Bellingen Memorial Hall is now complete, marking a significant milestone in our Shire’s cultural heritage. Following successful events such as the Screenwave International Film Festival (SWIFF) in April/May and the Grand Re-Opening Events held across May/June, the Hall was officially inaugurated by Her Excellency, the Honourable Margaret Beazley, Governor of NSW, on 29 June 2023.
Council is now inviting the community to explore and experience the newly renovated Bellingen Memorial Hall with a series of guided tours.
On Saturday 22 July 2023, Council will be hosting 30-minute guided tours of the Cultural Hub, allowing visitors an exclusive opportunity to witness the impressive transformation first-hand. Council staff will be present throughout the tours to showcase the Hall's extensive renovations and provide insights into the refurbishment process.

During the tour, participants will gain access to the backstage area, where they can explore the newly created studio space, kitchenette, greenrooms, recovery centre amenities, access lifts, car park, and deck area. Additionally, attendees will be invited into the Main Hall to witness a captivating short video presentation, showcasing the state-of-the-art 8 x 5.5mscreen, advanced audiovisual capabilities, and the newly installed tiered seating.
The guided tours are limited to 10 spots per session and it is essential to reserve a spot in advance
