Byron Writers Festival is taking its regional touring program Writers on the Road out west this winter with their first stop being Dorrigo Library. Gather around the literary fire with acclaimed authors Jane Caro, Nigel Featherstone, Mirandi Riwoe and Australian Poetry Slam Champion Huda Fadlelmawla.

It may be cold outside, but these writers are burning up with a passion for storytelling and poetry. Meet the authors at 5:30pm on Saturday 20 August for a chat about true tales, tall tales, all tales! This event takes it further with a workshop for writers beforehand at 4pm. This will be a wonderful opportunity for aspiring authors to chat about the writing process.

‘Writers on the Road has been such a huge success at Bellingen, so we are thrilled this tour is stopping at Dorrigo Library,’ said Shire Librarian, Rowena Sierant. ‘It’s an opportunity for regional writers and readers to get a taste of the Byron Writers Festival experience.’

The event promises something for everyone including lovers of fiction, poetry and big ideas. Writers on the Road events are free and open to the public, thanks to Byron Writers Festival and Create NSW. Bookings are essential. More information and bookings at https://byronwritersfestival.com/wotr/
