Bellingen Shire Council is currently assessing the risk of disasters in our local government area.
The objective is to identify those disasters posing the greatest risk of adverse consequences on our community, as well as vulnerabilities which are contributing to those risks.
This risk assessment process is being supported by the various emergency response and State government agencies who will respond in the event of a disaster. Our Council will be using the information obtained from this survey to identify how we can better manage disasters as well as options for reducing the risk they pose.
