Bellingen Shire Council would like to inform the community that the weighbridge fault at the Raleigh Waste Management Facility has been rectified. The facility will reopen and resume normal operating hours from 8am Wednesday, 28 October 2026. Council thanks residents and businesses for their patience and understanding during the temporary closure and apologises for any inconvenience caused.
The Dorrigo Support Centre is based out of Hickory House in Dorrigo. The Support Centre is funded by the Commonwealth Government to provide services to seniors who are generally over the age of 65+ and their carers.
The Dorrigo Support Centre aims to help seniors remain living in their own homes and living a lifestyle of their choosing. Staff are committed to providing social support and opportunities to forge new friendships through a variety of centre-based activities here in Hickory House. These activities include:
Dorrigo Support Centre is also proud to provide advocacy, respite, information/referrals, volunteers, and support for carers.
