Connell Park

Connell Park is Bellingen Shire's primary sporting facility. It is also home to the Cemetery Creek corridor. Connell Park has specially designed outdoor exercise equipment situated alongside the children’s playground and BBQ picnic shelter. The exercise trail is movable and interactive, with cardio workout and resistance training features such as rowing machines, cycle seat and a cross trainer. The equipment was installed by Council with the support of the NSW Office of Communities – Sport & Recreation with the objective of providing facilities to support the health and wellbeing of our community. A further 3 pieces of equipment were added in Stage 2 of the project which was jointly funded by the Bellingen Lions Club. Suitable for teenagers through to seniors, the equipment provides a cost free facility for those looking for a new and innovative way to exercise.
