View final adopted documents: Community Climate Action Plan
We recently asked you to tell us about the impacts climate change is having on you and our Shire. Since then, we’ve worked together with over 30 leaders of community and environmental groups from across our Shire to review your advice and to develop Bellingen Shire’s Community Climate Action Plan.
Our community leaders proposed a wide range of climate adaption and mitigation actions designed to increase our resilience to climate risks. The draft Plan also explores community views on setting community carbon emission reduction targets that would guide our Shire’s mitigation actions.
We are now asking you to tell us your thoughts on the draft Bellingen Shire Community Climate Action Plan to make sure it reflects everyone’s views on how our community should respond to the climate emergency.
We’d especially love to hear your thoughts and views about:
- the proposed climate actions
- the setting of Community carbon emission reduction targets.
