At its meeting on 17 September 2025, Council resolved to place the draft Risk Management Policy on public exhibition.
The Policy sets out how Council identifies and manages risks, reflecting our commitment to building a risk-aware culture and supporting staff and Councillors in decision-making and daily business. It will be supported by a Risk Management Framework that outlines practical steps for identifying, analysing, treating and reporting risks.
By strengthening our approach to risk, the Policy will support good governance, keep services running smoothly and deliver better outcomes for the community.
Council invites feedback on the draft Risk Management Policy(PDF, 2MB) by 5:00pm, Thursday 16 October 2025. After the exhibition period, a report will be presented to Council to consider any submissions before final adoption.
