Bellingen Shire Council commissioned CATALYSE to conduct the independent MARKYT Community Scorecard in July 2024.
The Scorecard gathered comprehensive feedback from over 1,600 residents about local issues, facilities, and services to help Council understand how it is performing and where improvements are needed.
Community Scorecard 2024
The Community Scorecard was completed by residents in July 2024. We heard views and opinions from more than 1,600 community members.
These results have been used to help review the Bellingen Shire Community Vision 2035, ensuring that the document is still reflective of our community’s priorities and aspirations.
FUTYR Workshops
Informed by the Scorecard findings, Council hosted a series of FUTYR community workshops in November 2024 in Dorrigo, Urunga, and Bellingen. These workshops allowed participants to:

Draft Document and Scorecard Results
Following the workshops, a draft Our Plan for the Future document was developed. Council resolved to place this draft on public exhibition for 28 days to gather further community feedback. This was an important opportunity for residents to review the draft and share their views before the plan is finalised.

Council endorsement
Following on from the public exibition period of the Draft Plan, community feedback was considered and a finalised plan was presented at the June Ordinary Meeting of Council. At this meeting, the document was adopted.
