Please be advised that Summervilles Road will be fully closed in both directions at Summervilles Road Bridge between Monday 28 September and Saturday 10 October 2026 (weather permitting).
The upgrade of Summervilles and Gordonville Roads will improve safety, accessibility and resilience of the road infrastructure for when these roads are used as a detour route during closures of Waterfall Way.
Council has secured $34.9 million to upgrade Summervilles and Gordonville Roads.
Funding Summary:
Council are awaiting the outcome of a further $4.7 million application under the SLRIP, which would complete the estimated $40 million funding package required to fully upgrade the route.
Construction will start in late 2026 and is expected to be completed by late 2029.

The upgrade of Summervilles and Gordonville Roads will occur alongside the long-term remediation work on the Gordonville Cutting landslip on Waterfall Way.
