Project Update - April 2026
Friendly weather has enabled the crews to make good progress over the past couple of months, with the installation of the sewer reticulation mains (the pipes laid along local streets) now complete. The Honey Bee Eaters on Beach Parade have now completed their breeding season and migrated, enabling the team to install the last of the pipes for the village.
Pressure Sewer System
Installation of the pressure sewer system units on individual properties is progressing well, with the team now tackling some of the more complex jobs. The project includes 228 property connections across the Mylestom and Raleigh areas.
Progress to date includes:
- 185 Pressure Sewer Units installed in backyards
- 190 Property Side Lines constructed
- 129 Controller Panels installed
- 84 Electrical Upgrades Completed
- 25 Consumer Main Upgrades
Works will continue across the remaining properties with commercial systems commencing in April.

Sewer Pump Stations
Construction of Sewer Pump Stations are also progressing steadily throughout the project area. These pump stations form a critical part of the new sewer network and will transfer wastewater from each location to Council’s existing sewer system for treatment. The Raleigh pump station, near Norco, will be completed in early April, and works continuing at the remaining pump stations at Mylestom and Yellow Rock.

The project is due to be completed in October 2026, weather permitting, with individual properties connections starting to be connected from mid-2026.
