You may be required to complete a Property-Owners-Consent-application.pdf(PDF, 207KB)
We have created a Factsheet-Grant-applications.pdf(PDF, 205KB)
that outlines the process and requirements. Please read this document before progressing your application.
Events on Council Land
Most community events require some form of approval prior to the event taking place.
If you are planning on holding an event on Council land, you may need approvals such as development consent, road closures, or activity permits. You may need to complete a Proposal to Stage an Event form
It is recommended you speak with Council's Duty Planner before submitting a grant application to clarify what approvals are likely required, expected timeframes and any associated costs.
The Duty Planner is available by phone on (02) 6655 7300 or in person:
- Bellingen Council Administration Building: Tuesdays, 9:00am – 3:00pm
- Dorrigo Library: Thursdays, 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Important
Speaking with Council early is strongly recommended as approvals can take up to four months and may incur costs. This must be factored into your event planning or project timeline.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to obtain all required permissions and approvals before the project or event commences. Council approvals are separate from the grant application process. Please note that a letter of support from Council does not constitute formal approval.
