MARKYT® Community Scorecard

Bellingen Shire Council has completed its review of the Bellingen Shire Community Vision 2035, using feedback gathered through the 2024 MARKYT® Community Scorecard and a series of community workshops. This review has informed the development of our new integrated strategic document Our Plan for the Future, which is now available online.

This document brings together our Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program, and Operational Plan into one clear roadmap for the decade ahead. It will be reviewed annually to ensure it remains responsive to changing community needs and meets legislative requirements.

About the 2024 Community Scorecard

In mid-2024, more than 1,600 residents participated in the MARKYT® Community Scorecard, sharing their views on life in the Shire, service delivery, priorities, and aspirations for the future. This community-wide survey provided valuable insights into what matters most to the people who live, work, and visit here.

To build on these insights, CATALYSE® Pty Ltd, an independent research and strategy company, facilitated community workshops in Dorrigo, Urunga and Bellingen in November 2024.

What’s Next

The Community Scorecard process will continue every two years, providing a regular pulse-check on community satisfaction and priorities. These insights will inform ongoing reviews of Our Plan for the Future and help guide Council’s service planning and investment decisions.
