In line with Council’s Code of Conduct and section 440AAB of the Local Government Act 1993, Councillors, the General Manager, designated staff, and independent members of Council’s Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee (ARIC) must complete and lodge a Disclosure of Interest Return each year.

Under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act), these returns are considered open access information and must be published on Council’s website unless there is an overriding public interest against disclosure. Each return has been reviewed, and personal information has been redacted where appropriate to protect privacy. This includes redacting residential addresses and signatures of designated persons from the published documents.

Individuals may also request that other personal details be withheld under the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIP Act).

The 2024-2025 Disclosure of Interest Returns were formally reported to the Ordinary Council Meeting on 17 September 2025 (Item 10.4).
