About the Project
Kalang Road Embankment Restoration project aims at restoring the function of flood-damaged road embankment to pre-disaster condition.
Project Scope
Rockfill and Regrading Package – works completion by early April 2024
Soil Nails – works completion by early June 2024
Soldier Pile Walls – works to commence in April and to be completed by early Sep 2024
Community Impacts
Due to urgent flood repair works, short term closures of Kalang Road will be required during the months of March to May. During any major disruptions, notifications to community will be provided via online channels and VMS boards.
Council advise motorists there will be upcoming road closure on Kalang Road from 9am to 12pm and 12.30 to 3pm during the following dates:
- Site 1: 8 March to 24 April at Chainage 14.4 km
